There are many forms of injectable substances that can be used in aesthetics. The list below is a starting list of the services offered at Flawless Laser and MedSpa currently, but this list is updated frequently.

  • Botulinum toxin is a popular injectable that temporally reduces or eliminates facial fine lines and wrinkles. The most commonly treated areas are frown lines, forehead creases and crow’s feet near the eyes. Several other areas can be treated including thick bands in the neck, thick jaw muscles, improve the appearance of skin dimpling of the chin, lift corners of the mouth, soften a square jawline, improved lip lines and gummy smiles. Botulinum toxin is a purified substance that is derived from a bacteria called Clostridium botulinum. Injection of botulinum toxin block the nerve signals to the muscle in which it was injected, causing the muscle to not be able to contract. The end results is diminished unwanted facial wrinkles or appearance. Commonly known types of botulinum toxin type A injections include, Botox, Dysport, Xeomin, Jeuvenau and Daxxify. We are currently offering Botox, but will be adding other brands in the near future.

  • Dermal fillers – dermal fillers are a natural way to fill depleted facial features or wrinkles. Dermal fillers like Juvéderm use a natural substance called hyaluronic acid, which is a chemical naturally found in every cell in our body. Dermal fillers plump and lift the skin gently to treat volume loss caused by the natural aging process. Fillers are injected into the deep layers of the facial tissue replicating the body’s natural collagen production to provide immediate fullness in the areas they are injected. Dermal fillers can be used to treat hollow cheeks, nasolabial folds, marionette lines, thin or asymmetrical lips, hollow temples, glabellar folds and certain types of scars. Results can last 6 months to 2 years.

  • Skinvive – Skinvive is a type of hyaluronic acid injected just under the skin using a microdroplet technique, usually in cheek and lower face. Hyaluronic acid attracts water, and this particular type of hyaluronic acid has been meticulously developed to help the skin retain its natural moisture, combating dryness and smoothing out fine lines.

  • PRP – Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) is a highly concentrated solution of plasma and platelets prepared from the patient’s own blood. The millions of platelets contained in PRP release numerous growth factors that may be valuable in decreasing the downtime and increasing the collagen production after a variety of procedures, including microneedling, Moxi or BBL HEROic. PRP is a safe and natural option, and our favorite option as an injectable, to build our body own collagen in the face or other parts of the body. PRP can treat hair thinning, loss of collagen, scaring, stretch marks and speed the recovery from other ablative procedures.
